WWE presented its PLE show ”WrestleMania Backlash” 2022 on May 8 live from the Dunkin Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
– This night is WWE WrestleMania Backlashthe pre-show opens with the panel discussing the map.
– A video of the match between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins is played. The panel looks at Cody Rhodes and all the potential he represents.
– The promotional videos continue: first in Charlotte against Ronda Rousey then in Omos vs Lashley. MVP is with the panel to send some tacos to Lashley.
– New promotional video of AJ Styles vs Edge as part of a kickoff of rare intensity.
– A promotional video about Madcap Moss vs Corbin is played. Moss is with the panel. He harangues the crowd and gets a more than decent reaction, the public is waking up!
– We found Paul Heyman and the Usos in behind the scenes. Heyman wishes everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. He highlights the good work that some mothers do, unlike others: those of the RK-bros and McIntyre. They are failures and Bloodline will prove it.
– End of the pre-showmake way for the main course!

– The main show begins with Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins! It is Rollins who enters the arena first.

Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins
Very great game from both men. Rhodes looks for a vertibreaker but Rollins responds and tries a roll-up on Rhodes. Rhodes counters it and continues into a roll-up as well. 1, 2, 3! Cody celebrates on stage under the gaze of a Rollins already ready to put the lid back on. 20 minutes of high level.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
– We continue with Omos accompanied by MVP against Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley vs. Omos
At the end of Omos’ match against Lashley he throws a knee. He places Lashley in a corner. MVP intervenes and generously continues the blows to his former protégé. Omos concludes with a two-handed chokeslams
Winner: Omo
– A promotional video for Hell in a Cell is released. This is the next PPV offered by WWE and it will take place on June 5 in the great suburb of Chicago, Rosemont.
– Promotional video about the rivalry between AJ Styles on the one hand and Edge/Damian Priest on the other. You will have understood, Styles and Edge are coming!

AJ Styles vs Edge (Damian Priest is banned from ringside)
Styles manages to place his Styles Clash on Edge and tries the pinfall. Edge manages to get rid of him at the last moment! Styles prepares to continue with his Phenomenal Forearm, but Damian Priest falls! He approaches the ring. Finn Balor arrives at full speed and tackles Priest directly. The action continues in the ring. A woman in a black hoodie steps in and knocks Styles off the top rope! Edge continues directly with a cross. Styles loses consciousness. Edge won! The woman in black approaches Edge and removes his hood… It’s Rhea Ripley!
Winner: Edge
– Gives way to the women’s division, followed by the I Quit Match between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
SmackDown Women’s Championship – I leave the match
Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey
Authors of a great combat, the two women moved quickly in the middle of the public. They end up returning to the ring under the chants “We want tables” supported. A wish not granted since it is finally through a chair that the match is resolved. Charlotte has the upper hand and places a chair in the center of the ring. She wishes Ronda a Happy Mother’s Day and prepares to attempt a submission… But Ronda grabs Charlotte’s arm, pulls it through the chair and manages to place her armbar. Charlotte surrenders!
Winner: Ronda Rousey – New Champion
– A promotional video of Money in the Bank is broadcast. The PLE will take place on July 2 in Las Vegas.
– Make way for Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss

Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss
Corbin manages to place his Deep Six on Moss, but Moss manages to clear at the last moment. Moss regains the advantage and does his Sunset Flip on the happy Corbin. 1, 2, 3, Moss won!
Winner: Madcap Moss
– It is announced that Charlotte Flair has a wrist injury after her match against Ronda Rousey.
– As there is no good company that does not come off, place for the last chapter of the night: the Main Event.
Six-man tag team match
Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro (Randy Orton & Riddle) vs. Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso)
As the match ended, McIntyre prepared to powerbomb Reigns through the comment tables. Jimmy Uso comes to the aid of the chief of the tribe. Reigns takes over and finally it is he who passes McIntyre around the table! The action and unbridled. In the ring Riddle dominates his world but Reigns joins him, gives him a spear and follows up with a fall. Bloodline Victory!
Winners: Roman Reigns and The Usos
– Reigns, the USOS and Heyman pose on stage with their belts. The show ends like this.
